April 25 - Opening Night Celebration
Our Opening Night celebration will take place in the HPHS Auditorium at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25. We are excited to have the Emmy and Tony Award-winning Tyne Daly, joined by HPHS Alum Dan K. Kurland and outstanding student musicians from our HPHS Music Department, perform wonderful selections of song and poetry. Opening Night is free and open to the public but tickets are required.
April 26 - Art Night
Art Night will be held from 6:30-8:30 pm on Wednesday, April 26 in the HPHS Student Cafeteria and surrounding hallways. View and interact with local and national artists as well as our very own HPHS students. Exhibits will include woodturning, printmaking, jewelry, body painting and much more. Each artist will have a demonstration or a hands-on activity for the public. Art Night is free and open to the public, great for children and adults.
April 27 - Dance Night
Dance Night is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 27 in the HPHS Auditorium. Five of Chicago’s finest dance companies will grace the stage including Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre, Chicago Repertory Ballet, Giordano Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Visceral Dance Chicago. Highland Park High School’s Collage dance troupe will also present a signature piece. Dance Night is free and open to the public but tickets are required.
Daytime Workshops - April 26 - 28
The ticket giveaway for FOCUS on the Arts will be on Saturday, April 8 at 1:00pm. Tickets are required for Opening and Dance Nights only. Tickets are free and available on a first come first served basis, in person. Doors will open at 12:30 pm on the North side of the high school at the H entrance. There is a limit of two tickets per person for each evening event. There will not be any phone or mail-in requests. A limited number of tickets are available.
